The sun is setting.
He thrusts the clouds away with a render
The sun is setting.
Haltingly shows the steel grey, blue of night
The sun has set
Slowly it comes, as if itself to fight
The sun has set.
Solemnly comes the midnight sky at last
The sun has set
Fear not the night; its die to death are cast
The sun has set
Ah! Hear comes the sun now, majestically !
The sun is rising
Signaling now to the night--it's time to flee!
The sun is rising
Amongst the purple, gold, and lavender
The sun is rising
The sun is coming!
The sun is here now to stay forever!
The sun is risen
Conquering the night, who comes the sun to revere!
The Son has risen!

Did you WRITE that? That's amazing! I write poems all the time, but that's really good, and the beautiful photography, I love the play on the last line.
I love words, I make up my own like 'ish' means that the subject spoken of needs no description, it's so extreme it speaks for itself, like a shirt or something is so ugly or pretty it's very 'ish'! And there is a 'gaggle of geese' there is an 'ipt' of suitors!
Call me weird but I love words. My two favorites are pathetic and epitome so something really annoying is ' the epitome of pathetic'. Sorry for the long comment, but your post was so enjoyable and such a blessing. Happy Easter!

So beautiful Erika!!
Hi Annie! Yes, I did write it...I'm glad you enjoyed it! An "ipt"?! That's very creative! I love words too, so I don't call you weird at all :)
Thanks, Emily!
That was really touching, Erika! I loved how you worked in the pictures.
Beautiful, Erika. Well done! :)
