In Which I Decide to Document My Writing a Paper

[Written last night, because I somehow thought it would be interesting to give a live stream of this paper's progress.]

Background story: So there's this girl who is taking this college course, and she has to write a paper. So she starts writing, but a little way through, she realizes that she can't find enough stuff on her topic. So she tells her mom, and her mom, being all amazing-homeschooler-mom-ish, sticks her on the right track, and so the girl heads off to her room to proceed to write a paper about rural tourism (or agritourism) in Argentina.

It's 10:19 pm. I have a couple word documents open, 10 tabs open in my browser (firefox of course), and am ready to plunge in. Casting Crowns was being blasted earlier, but loud music + sleeping small siblings does not mix. So music is off for the time being.

10:58: Focus is slipping...so are eyelids :P Anyhow, I now am up to 12 open tabs, almost one page written, and several sources. I have like the basic introduction stuff that's pretty easy to write (it will probably need to be redone once I actually have the paper written), so now I need at least 3 pages more.

11:52. Got up and brushed my teeth and hopped into my PJs.

12:03: Annoyed that I can't read everything in the article from the Britannica online. What good does that do me? :P I wonder if my college library has an online encyclopedia...

12:07: Yes, it does. But does it have an entry for "estancia"? No.

12:42: 352 words, out of a minimum of 1,200. I'm on the right track, though, with my research.

12:49: oooh, I think I found a goldmine of a website. Hey, if anyone is trying to plan a horseback tour of Argentina...I can save you a lot of research :D

1:28: 613 words. Halfway there :)

1:35: It's raining and lightning-ing and thundering. Not too loudly, though. It's nice how once I force myself to stay awake till 12:30 or so, I don't have to fight it anymore. I know that in about an hour or so, I'll start falling asleep again...need to hurry this up :P

1:48: 886 words. Let's see...if I have a goal of 1300 words (minimum is 1200, but I should probably go over a bit...) then I have 414 words left. That's not bad...

2:18: 1,153!! Just like, what, a couple paragraphs left? Sweet. Then, I want to MLA-ify my sources (boy, that'll be fun) before bed. Tomorrow is when I go over it again to edit. Incidentally, the storm passed.

2:32: wait...that says one thousand *one* hundred fifty three. I switched the five and the one in my head. Well then. I'm currently at 1,341. Wait...does that mean I'm past? *blinkblink* Yeah, I think it does. Sweet. Cause if I needed 1,200 words, and I'm past 1,300, then...I'm good. Awesome. Conclusion paragraph coming right up :D

2:44: Eleven sources to cite. Goal is to finish by three. That way if I have to work tomorrow, I still get potentially...five hours of sleep.

3:00. Well, still have 7 to cite. At least I'm not too crazy sleepy yet, right?

3:03: I'm hungry...

3:17: Well, I guess that's it for now. Night!

Next Day Sometime: In a hazy fog, I make a couple changes, MLA-ify everything, and submit it. Yay :)

thanks for making it humorous, at least!
